Background

William Hill Australia (WHA) acquired Sportingbet, Centrebet and Tom Waterhouse in 2014 to become one of the leading online Bookmakers in Australia. After integrating 4 companies into 1, WHA set aggressive growth targets involving several technology upgrades, new products and business transformation initiatives.
In order to succeed, WHA required a:

– Highly skilled QA team, and the use of test automation
– Cultural shift towards an Agile delivery methodology
– Uplift in quality to production for both internal and external products.

Solution

DX Solutions’ approach was to:

Provide leadership to the QA team through new Head of QA.

Supplement team with highly skilled QA resources (both contract and permanent) to facilitate the Product / Business expansion.

Analyse and make changes to the existing QA process to support the Agile methodology for faster quality delivery.

Align QA team activities with overall Business and Technology Vision. Work with the Dev team to provide automation testing solution.

Work with the Infrastructure, Security, DEV and QA teams on test data management and establishing a best practice data refresh process.
